TIBCO UK 1st Annual charity dinner in aid of The Afghanistan Trust
On Thursday July 2nd 2009 Lieutenant Colonel Huw Williams PARA, a senior commander in the Parachute Regiment gave an after dinner presentation entitled:
‘Another Day in the Office’ - Commanding a Parachute Regiment Battle Group in Afghanistan
A very rare opportunity for members of the public to hear an account of what it is like to be at the front line in this remote and dangerous country.
Colonel Huw has been responsible for meeting operational objectives, simultaneously ensuring the welfare of the men and women under his command. As an elite formation, the British Parachute Regiment has been at the cutting edge of some of the fiercest fighting.
Another day at the office
The Afghanistan Trust was formed on 15 March 2007, to help support soldiers and their families who have served with the Parachute Regiment in Afghanistan and who have been wounded or killed as a consequence.
